Annabel Ralph is a Physiotherapist, Dance Physio and Clinical Pilates clinician. She has a special interest in treating performers, outdoor sports athletes and individuals with hypermobility, while equally enjoying assisting people without a background in sport/dance to move better.

APPROACH

Annabel provides a holistic and evidence-based approach that can help you to recover from injury and improve your posture, strength and mobility. She really enjoys looking at you as a whole person - not just treating your area of pain, but instead looking at how your patterns of movement may be affecting you.

Her special areas of interest in the body are the foot and ankle, hip, TMJ (jaw) and neck, and improving full body integration. She loves to help dancers recover from injury, refine their dance technique and their improve posture, flexibility and stability.

Annabel is a Registered Physiotherapist in NSW, NSW Work Cover Accredited, a member of the APA (Australian Physiotherapy Association) and IADMS (International Association for Dance Medicine & Science).

BACKGROUND

Prior to her training as a physiotherapist, Annabel attended Newtown High for the Performing Arts, and completed a degree in Contemporary Dance at Western Sydney University. She spent a number of years living overseas dancing, snowboarding and mountain biking. On her return to Australia she completed her Physiotherapy degree while working as a Remedial and Sports Massage therapist, lecturing in Sports Massage at NSW School of Massage and and teaching pilates.

Annabel has created and taught her own ‘Functional Anatomy for Dancers’ course, and also teaches with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) in Sydney.
