Hi, I’m Renata.

I am passionate about discovering a deeper connection to the body and listening to what it reveals. Most of all, I am committed to getting people from all walks of life moving -for mental health, physical wellbeing, and the joy of shared expression. I like to say: “Dance and movement start from the inside. It’s not about whether you can dance, but about listening to yourself and finding your own way.”

My Approach

I am a regional NSW–based independent dancer, maker, and educator. A graduate of Hochschule für Musik und Theater (Munich) with a Bachelor of Classical Ballet and additional training in inclusive dance teaching, I have performed with companies across Europe and North America, including Les Grands Ballets de Montréal, Opéra de Lyon, and Victor Ullate Ballet. My practice spans classical ballet, contemporary dance, and somatic methods such as Feldenkrais, Continuum, and Body-Mind Centering.

After 12 years performing internationally, I returned to Sydney in 2018, collaborating with The National Gallery of Australia, Opera Australia, Sue Healey, and Living Room Theatre. My choreographic works, including YOUWHO? and Motherhood, have featured at Sydney Fringe and in Western Sydney University’s curriculum. I also bring inclusive practice to projects with Bus Stop Films, Sydney Festival, and others.

Dedicated to accessibility and community, I facilitate workshops for Milk Crate Theatre, Dance for Parkinson’s Australia, DirtyFeet, Sydney Dance Company, and the Sydney Opera House. In 2021 I founded Move and Groove, a creative movement community where people of all ages connect, create, and belong.
