Hi, I’m Annabel.
I am a Physiotherapist, Dance Physio and Clinical Pilates clinician. I have a special interest in treating performers, outdoor sports athletes and individuals with hypermobility, while equally enjoying assisting people without a background in sport/dance to move better.
My Approach
Prior to training as a physiotherapist, I attended Newtown High for the Performing Arts, and completed a degree in Contemporary Dance at Western Sydney University. I spent a number of years living overseas dancing, snowboarding and mountain biking. On my return to Australia I completed my Physiotherapy degree while working as a Remedial and Sports Massage therapist, lecturing in Sports Massage at NSW School of Massage, and teaching pilates.
I have created and taught my own ‘Functional Anatomy for Dancers’ course, and also teaches with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) in Sydney.
I provide a holistic and evidence-based approach that can help you to recover from injury and improve your posture, strength and mobility. I really enjoy looking at you as a whole person -not just treating your area of pain, but instead looking at how your patterns of movement may be affecting you.
My special areas of interest in the body are the foot and ankle, hip, TMJ (jaw) and neck, and improving full body integration. I love to help dancers recover from injury, refine their dance technique and improve their posture, flexibility and stability.
